For people who are looking for a way to make money online, internet marketing is the most practical answer. To some people, internet marketing sounds like a way to make money fast. Many of these newcomers to the field don’t realize how much effort internet marketing really involves. What follows will be a discussion of some well tested internet marketing techniques that you can apply to your own business.

SEO can work wonders for your traffic but for some reason it is all but ignored by new internet marketers. Why would you not want to optimize your site for the search engines when you can drive targeted traffic without spending a penny? Many internet marketers want everything right now and with SEO that is not possible so they would rather spend time bad mouthing it than making it work for them for the long-term. If you are serious about making it online then SEO needs to a part of your ongoing efforts. The major search engines like Google receive millions of visitors per day and you can get a share of this pie if you can simply work towards optimizing your site effectively. SEO can help others who aren’t involved in affiliate marketing, too. If you have a site that is supporting a cause and you want to be seen; you can definitely benefit from SEO. Basically all you have to do is give the search engines what they want. They can send you a windfall of traffic if you actually get ranked for your targeted keywords. SEO is arguably the best long-term traffic generation method that you can use.

The power of testing and tracking cannot be over-estimated with online marketing campaigns. The best thing you can do in all of your online marketing efforts is include testing and tracking. All aspects of your online marketing can be tested and have the results tracked. The power of it is that you can see what’s not working and try something else to improve it.

It’s called getting maximum conversions, or ROI, and you can just keep on doing it until no more improvement is possible. Always remember that if you do one, you should do the other because they work together. If you want to optimize, then you’ll need to know what isn’t working well. As an example, in a sales letter you can test two different headlines to see which one pulls better conversion rates.

Over-delivering, giving customers more than they hoped for, is the single best way to succeed as an internet marketer. Your best bet is to make it obvious that your customers received even more than what they paid for. The more you over, rather than under-deliver, the more your customers will remember you in a positive way. When you do this, your customers will want to return to you time and again. When your customers know they can count on you for the best value and for some freebies as well, they will stick with you in the long run.

Internet marketing is something that will take time before you see results, so keep your efforts consistent. Your failures will only let you know what doesn’t work.

Ideally, when you perform customer service, it is
done on a one-on-one basis with each of your
customers. That works quite well in the offline world
– but on the Internet, that simply will not do. Your
customers are literally all over the world, and there is
no way that you can really deal with each one of
them personally. That is where an autoresponder
comes in.

Customer service with autoresponders is quite
simple. When an order is place, an autoresponder
can send out the receipt for the sale, the information
for accessing the product, and a ‘thank you’ email.
This happens whether you are logged in to your
computer or on vacation in an exotic location! But
customer service doesn’t always end right there, and
if you are away from your computer, you may be
letting your customers down!

For instance, an elderly gentleman sees your
product advertised and places an order. Everything
goes through just fine, and he receives the receipt,
the download information, and your ‘thank you’ email.
Your product is an ebook, compiled into a PDF file.
This particular gentleman doesn’t understand what
a PDF file is, and he has no idea what you mean by
‘right click to download.’ He needs additional
customer service for the product that he has
purchased, and there is nobody available to help
him – nobody but an autoresponder.

Set up an additional autoresponder that will send out
a list of frequently asked questions or problems that
deal with customer service or how to access the
product. Also set up a support autoresponder. If he
sends a message to support, he should get an
instant message back letting him know that his
message has been received, and how soon it will be
addressed. This will give him some measure of
comfort, and in most cases, he will wait that
specified period of time for assistance.

However, if he doesn’t know how to download the
product, and he sends a message to support, and
nothing happens, he will most likely become very
dissatisfied in a very short period of time. The
difference between a patient customer and an irate
customer is one simple autoresponder message
that can and should be set up in under five minutes.

Really think your ordering process through, and
consider the potential problems that may occur for
your customers. Get an autoresponder set up to
address those problems, and you will find that your
customers are more satisfied with your products,
and extremely satisfied with your customer service –
all because your autoresponders handle their
problems right away!

As an example I recently joined another social networking community Aaachoo which is a paid membership site that offers a social networking income opportunity and a forced 3×9 matrix.

The 1st action step I took when I joined Aaachoo was to setup a Facebook Fanpage called Aaachooo… again do a Facebook Search for Aaachoo and it will show up!

In today’s online social marketing landscape not using fanpages would be a major blunder in my opinion. Visit my Aaachooo fanpage to get a sense of the potential and set one up today…
